Personal Dock Diving Lessons with Marilynn Guard Beginner Dock Diving – Introductory Pool Lesson (45 min – session) Kick off your dog's dock diving adventure with this required first lesson! In this 45-minute pool rental slot, you'll get hands-on familiarization with our professional dock setup, pool environment, safety rules, and entry/exit procedures. The extra 15 minutes (compared to follow-up lessons) allow plenty of time for: A relaxed introduction to the dock and water for you and your dog as well as orientation on equipment, safety protocols, and best practices. This lesson is the first of the four lessons that make up the basic dock diving course. The three subsequent lessons can be purchased individually or as a three lessons plan (see our booking services). Classes are limited to just 1 dog per slot for personalized attention and low stress. After completing Lessons 1, you'll be ready for your 30-minute follow-up lessons. Important: This booking is for pool access and facility use only. Instruction, coaching, and any lesson fees are handled and paid directly to your instructor, Marilynn Guard (our partnered expert). Marilynn is available on Thursday and Fridays between 10am and 4pm. She is also available on select weekends. Check with Marilynn for extra availability. The instructor rate is $25 per lesson. Payment will be due at the time of the lesson. Cancellation Policy
Introductory Dock Diving Lesson (45 min – Lesson 1) Booking Policy This policy applies to the required first 45-minute introductory pool lesson only. This session books pool access only—pay instructor Marilynn Guard directly for coaching. Purpose: Familiarization with the dock, pool setup, safety protocols, and basic orientation. Must be completed before any follow-up sessions can be booked or scheduled. Scheduling Requirement: This session must be scheduled and completed as the first of the four-session Beginner Dock Diving course. Follow-Up Sessions: After completing this session, purchase the remaining three 30-minute follow-up sessions either: Individually (book one at a time), or As the discounted 3-Session Follow-Up Package. Availability: Thursdays & Fridays, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (15-minute buffer enforced between bookings). Limited to 2 dogs per session. Cancellation: 48-hour notice required. Notify both DSU and instructor. Proper notice = full refund or reschedule. Late/no-show = forfeiture (non-refundable). Weather Cancellations: Reschedule at earliest mutual convenience—no forfeiture. Payment: Full pool fee required at booking; non-refundable except for facility/instructor issues beyond client control. General: Follow safety rules. Non-transferable. No food or treats on dock.
