It's been quite a while since my last entry and a lot has transpired since then.
I can proudly say that this is the first blog since the County approved us to re-open our business. It took a year and a half but we finally made it. Yahoo! We've cleared all the hurdles and now we can get down to running dogs!
We started the year at the Silver Sands Bridle Club for three days and six events, January 22 - 24. Our first events at our facility were four Fast CATs in February sponsored by WVKC. Unfortunately, Valentine's Day was a rainy bust so we only got the Saturday runs in. The Sunday events have been rescheduled for March 13th. That's only 5 days away! WVKC sponsored two additional events for the following Sunday so we could have a full weekend's worth of Fast CAT events. Hopefully we'll see a lot of the folks that got rained getting to do their runs this weekend.
On a slightly different note, we've also started up our Fast CAT Camps again. We were supposed to have the first one on March 6th but Mother Nature didn't cooperate. We cancelled for rain. Not how we wanted things to work out but you can't control the weather.
Our Camps will resume on March 20th and we're hoping for better weather. We have limited the number of dogs in each Camp to 30. We want to make sure that everyone has plenty of track time. Sign-up online to get your Camp tickets for the 20th. The earlier you get your tickets, the better the chance you have of getting a spot in the Camp.
